West Ham Utd 3 FCSB 1 Europa Conference League 8th September 2022

An excellent Bowen penalty after Cornet was fouled, no VAR to chalk that one off, and a wonderful goal from Emerson to put us in control. The crowd sensed there were more goals in this game and it came from the excellent Antonio on 90th minute to send the crowd roaring and singing. Antonio entertains as much as he frustrates but his impact along with Bowen and later Parqueta was the difference.

From The Vaults: West Ham United 1 Arsenal 0 12th January 2019

What will surely stay in the memory is Declan’s performance just a couple of days before his 20th birthday that showed why he has a great future in front of him after scoring his first Premier League goal during a series of impressive performances.

From The Vaults: West Ham United v Burnley Saturday 3rd November 2018

Despite a winless October West Ham put in a performance that Manuel Pellegrini described at the time as the best by the team since he took charge. Lead by man of the match Felipe Anderson, the Hammers we bold, thrilling but showed a brittle side, superior against a struggling Burnley, but not convincing.

From the Vaults West Ham United v Brighton & Hove Albion 1st February 2020

West Ham had let a 2 goal lead slip into a draw dragging them into the relegation zone with Manchester City and Liverpool to look forward to in the coming games ahead. Since returning to the managers post in December, Moyes had not been able to lift the teams form with only 1 league win in 6 and being dumped out of the FA Cup by then Championship side West Brom.

From the Vaults: West Ham United 2 Manchester United 0 22nd September 2019

Pellegrini hailed the Hammers as a more solid and consistent side as the excellent start to the 2019-20 season continued with a 2-0 home win over Manchester United. Goals from Yarmolenko and Cresswell pushed the Hammers back into 5th with only goal difference separating them from Arsenal and Leicester City.

From the Vaults: West Ham Utd v Newcastle 3rd November 2019

Our opening season defeat to Newcastle continues the poor form we have against the Magpies that was all too evident last season in the 2-3 defeat at London Stadium that continued a five game stretch without a Premier League win at that time.

Match Day Roar Silenced As Top Flight Football Suspended Until April 4th

The match day noise and smell of food, music playing and children playing football all gone and cloak of silence surrounding the ground. I tried to imagine the match day, groups of people drinking and chatting, lining up for food, buying their programmes, voices of children calling and the sense of anticipation rising as fans poured into the stadium itself.

Hammers Ease Past Southampton To Move Out of The Relegation Zone

After the excellent performance at Anfield against runaway league leaders Liverpool, the Hammers followed that up with a convincing win against The Saints at the London Stadium

Hammers Dumped Out of FA Cup by Bilic’s Much Changed West Brom Side

I have not felt angry about the club for a while, but I felt anger on Saturday. I’m not angry with the owners – I don’t think that will achieve anything. They are here for the long haul. (Although there is talk of a stay away protest for the Liverpool game) I am not angry with Moyes, he was badly treated the last time he managed us and now he has inherited a team in a torrid state and low on confidence and quality. He is doing the best he can.
