But could the Hammers at least rescue a draw? With growing purpose the Hammers began to push further forward with Vlasic and Fornals making way for Masuaku and Yarmolenko to see out the final 20mins of what was becoming a more frantic encounter. So, it was a final chance falling to in form Bowen who could only chest over a cross that should have been headed firmly into the Leeds net to salvage something from a match that had 2 goals ruled out for offside, one for each team, that raised Leeds to 15th place, whilst the Hammers hang precariously in 4th anxiously watching results of those teams around us.
I have some of my recent photos of West Ham United home games at the London Stadium featured in November edition of Blowing Bubbles fanzine. If you would like a copy of the magazine go to: https://blowing-bubbles.co.uk/subscribe/
A game of drama and real frustration for us as I feel we deserved at least a point, even after the rush of blood to the head decision by Moyes to throw Noble on to take a last gasp penalty to salvage the game. The 83rd FA Cup final took place at Wembley Stadium on 2nd May 1964 between West Ham United and Preston North End. The Hammers, captained by Bobby Moore and managed by Ron Greenwood has seen off Charlton Athletic, Leyton Orient – although through a replay, Swindon and Burnley in the previous rounds to earn a semi final place against Manchester United at Hillsborough on 14th March of that year. The Hammers first semi final appearance for 31 years.
Haller then signed for West Ham United on 17th July 2019 for a record fee of £45m on a 5 year deal. Seen as a statement of intent from the club, along with the signings of Anderson, Diop and Fornals. Sebastian definitely came with a great reputation for being a handful and bullying defenders with his physicality.
Alvin Martin scores a hat-trick against 3 different goalkeepers in a memorable match in the chase for the Division 1 league title during the 1985/86 season.
