I wish I had been at the bowl to see the incredible game against Brighton, the result that leaves us deep in the relegation zone during our packed festive schedule of matches. I did say this sequence of games will define our season and that’s proved to be right. With Forest losing we missed an opportunity to close the gap leaving a lot of work to do to climb up the table. 

Well, what can we say? A first half performance that seemed like to halves where we were literally all over the place, lacking communication and cohesion with a midfield that conceded space and a defence that made it too easy for Arsenal to score 3 goals in 30mins! No wonder fans were getting up from their seats and going to an early half time drink.

I was reading some comments on social media and then discovered the story of the fans boycott and of the support from ex-players such as David Cross, who joins Tony Cottee and Frank McAvennie in condemning the club’s policy of above inflation ticket price rises and changes to concessionary rates, which is an attack on both long standing fans of the club and many ordinary families who will be priced out of attending football matches.
